Website Registration Glitch
I noticed a couple little probs when registerinng for this site. First off, I tried to register with a space in my handle instead of the underscore - other sites have allowed this and the instructions only mention something about "meta-characters" as I recall, which isn't exactly clear for us geek-as-a-second-language folks. ;-) Anyway, all fine and good except that the rejection screen kept telling me I answered the bot-screen math question wrong. I may have had to struggle to learn to speak with computers, but math is an innate language for me and I found it deeply disturbing thinking I was unable to add two to four!
I also had problems with the initial password because I disable cookies by default. The Drupal forums also gave me the runaround until I remebered to add the site to my exception list. Is there anything in the site setup software that allows you to actively detect the user's cookie status and warn them if they have the site blocked?
I like your site layout - simple but functionally powerful. I'm getting real sick of google ads up the wazoo and dancing emoticons at most sites I come accross...

Yeah Don, I've had the
Yeah Don, I've had the cookie problem reported by serveral p[eople. I really appologize for that. Cookies causes problems with captcha also (the math questons). I only have captcha set up for registration. So after that you should not need to verify yourself anymore. I tried to make it as user friendly as possible without letting spam bots in. The no space thing is wierd though, because you should be able to use a space in your name.
Glad you like the site otherwise. I am keeping this site free of any propaganda, in hopes people will find the site unbias and open. After all, being open is what we're all about:)
Glad you signed up and welcome,
Chad
