Screwed?

So when I set my server up I came up with really good, strong passwords. That was a couple of weeks ago. Now I'm following along with episode 6 to backup my database. Going into phpmyadmin it seems that I can't reproduce my username and password. Shucks. My fault.

Is there a way to recover this stuff, or should I pull the whole lamp server out by the roots and start over?

Best,
Tom

Sorry. Never mind.

I remembered my details. Whew!

Thanks anyway.

Best,
Tom

Tom, use a sudo

Tom, use a sudo dpkg-reconfigure on the mysql install package (sorry, can't remember it off the top of my head).  It will let you enter a new root password for the install and you should be able to access the database.

Oh nevermind, anyway keep what I said in the back of your head and next time you forget it won't be such an emergency ;)
