Hello

Greetings to all!
I tuned in to a podcast after hearing this one mentioned on another podcast though I cannot remember which one, I want ot say Linux Reality but it might not have been.
I really liked the hands on no nonsense approach you take with your segments. So far you seem to stay very focused on the subject which seems to be lacking a bit in some other podcasts.
I am currently running Ubuntu Gutsy server on an old and slow but somehow remarkably dependable pentium II desktop with a whoping 512Meg of ram. This was recently upgraded from OpenSuse 10.0. The primary purpose of this box is for my own education and to play with.
I am also running a dual boot laptop with Ubuntu Gutsy Desktop and Windows Vista. As soon as I can figure out how to do everything I do in Windows in Linux Vista will be erased.
I've always enjoyed playing with linux (since way back when Red Hat 6 was first released) primarily as a way to play with computers and try to educate my self in different areas. So I am not exactly new to linux but it has always been more of a side burner project for me to play with in my spare time.
Thanks for the excellent podcasts so far and I look forward to hearing a lot more from you in the future.

Fireman! Thanks for stopping

Fireman! Thanks for stopping by man. Hey, let me know what is keeping you on Vista and maybe we can suggest comparable packages. Either way though, glad you are listening and hope you get mucho gratification out of the geekness that is linux.
Take care,
Chad
