Hello
Hello from cookingout.
I'm just a old county boy that gets excited when someone calls me a Nerd or a Geeek (notice the 3 e's). I have been running Linux for 3-4 years now. I presently run Ubuntu (dual booting with XP) on 3 desktops and 1 laptop. My kids love Linux and I have converted many friends and even my dad to Linux over the past year. I work in Industrial Electronics and therefore am forced to keep Windows on my work PCs mainly for the PLC software. I do, however, secretly run Linux with VMWare on my shared work laptop.
Just wanted to take a moment to tell you thanks for starting your new podcast. I have listened to the first episode and enjoyed it very much. I have a son that is into music so we might have to check out your other basement site as well. I will listen to the other two episodes and I hope I will be able to keep up. I learned about you from a Linux Reality episode. The only suggestion I have so far is that the first episode was a little soft on my Creative Zen Nano Plus. I hope you pump the volume up just a tad.
Keep up the good work.

Good to have another country
Good to have another country boy on board. I'll live in the sticks myself, and so I often sit on my backporch and talk to deer about linux, as I get a better response out of them then most. Thanks for the suggestion. I've been trying to tweak my sound quality and volume, so hopefully the next two episodes will treat you better. Thanks for signing up!
Welcome
Glad to have you aboard cookingout. I really live in the sticks, but I have seen deer in my back yard.
