Greetings Program

Max Inflixion here from outside of Detroit, Michigan in the US.
Linux user for almost 3 years now, but like many others still am tethered to Windows on at least one machine.  I have to VPN thru work, and am working on doing so thru a virtual machine, but it really slows things down.
Currently run Ubuntu 7.10 on an AMD x2 4200 desktop, Ubuntu 7.10 on a P4 laptop, SLAX thru Qemu on my thumbdrive, and Nokia Tablet os2007 on my Nokia n800.
The other three machines in the house run Windows for the family.

Thanks for signing up Max.

Thanks for signing up Max. What is SLAX? is that something like damn small linux?
Good to have you aboard.
Chad

SLAX

Slax is a live CD distro based on Slackware.  It runs really well off of a decent sized thumbdrive.

Cool. I will have to check

Cool. I will have to check it out! I've always thought about putting a bunch of forensics utilities, like what is on helix, on a thumbdrive so that you could pull data, like hard drive images off a machine and analyze it.
