Firefox to remember page position

I have used Firefox on Windows and on Linux, on Windows when I navigate links, and go back to the orgianl page, firefox places me right where I left, but on Linux I am always put (most times) at the top of the web page. How can I change this?

Haven't noticed this behavior before

Is this on any page or particular pages?  I'd check for myself but I don't have Firefox installed on my Windows partition right now.  Trying to get rid of the Windows partition, actually...

Not all pages but 99% of

Not all pages but 99% of them, I am always put back on top when using the back button, or opening a link , and then going back.  an example is distrowatch.com.

I've noticed that on some

I tried it again now: opend a new firefox.navigate to www.distrowatch.com.scroll down a little, and going back to the opening (homepage) of my browser. Then going forward again, puts me back on top.I also tried scrolling down to the distros, then hit the link for Goblix, and then go back, and it puts me back on top.Maybe Microsoft has the patent for it to remember :)

confirmed. That's whack jack.
